📢 Leadership Update
With the resignation of John Rustad, our MLAs have selected Trevor Halford as the interim leader of the Conservative Party of BC.
Trevor Halford is the MLA for Surrey–White Rock, where he was born and raised. Together with his wife Holly, Trevor is raising three young children in the same community where he grew up, volunteering as a coach and staying connected to local life. His firsthand experience with challenges like housing affordability and commuting fuels his commitment.

⚡ Upcoming Leadership Race
On January 2nd, the party announced the formation of the Leadership Election Organizing Committee, chaired by Scott Lamb, former president of the Conservative Party of Canada.
This committee will:
Set rules and processes for the leadership contest
Ensure a fair and transparent race
Begin preparations immediately
The goal: elect a new leader as soon as possible.
Who will run?
No official candidates yet—but many are exploring their options. We’ll keep you updated as soon as the race begins.
